Scout Bots are mechanoids in Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. They can be activated with the Thunder Shot, after which scanning them marks on the map every uncollected Power-up in the area, following this, the bot permanently ceases to function.
Because all of them require the Thunder Shot to be interacted with, the bot found in the Great Mines is the only one that can be activated immediately upon being discovered.

Logbook entry
Scout Bots were created during the Machine Era to find precious resources. Once deployed to an assigned area, they perform scans using ultrasonic-wave reflection. The data is then fed to a linked map displaying the location of mineral deposits and other valuables. Most Scout Bots were left to weather the environment and, due to natural degradation, may no longer function.
