Viewros (pronounced /ˈvju.ɹɑs/) is an undiscovered planet residing in an entirely separate dimension from any of the worlds governed by the Galactic Federation[1] and the primary setting of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. It was the home of the Lamorn, a race capable of Psychic Abilities, before their near-extinction in an event known as the Great Tragedy. The only known way to reach the planet is via a rare teleportation device, and likewise, it can only be left via a Master Teleporter.
History
Samus was unexpectedly transported to this planet thanks to Sylux shooting the artifact during his and Samus's gun duel at the UTO Research Center at Tanamaar. While stranded on this planet, Samus discovers Psychic Abilities and powers allowing her to navigate her surroundings as she locates a way off the planet.[2]
Inhabitants
Geography
Viewros possesses a variety of diverse climates in unusually close proximity to each other due to an unstable magnetic field,[1] with a sprawling jungle, frigid mountains, and a large volcano all surrounding a massive desert. Chatoyant Vooloon states that Viewros was always a harsh world that the Lamorn wished to improve for the prosperity of all flora and fauna inhabiting it.

Metroid Prime 4: Beyond - The World Databook
A planet in a separate dimension that does not exist in any galaxy currently under the control of the Galactic Federation.
The instability of the planet's overall magnetic field leads to significant local climatic variations. Initially poor in mineral resources that could be converted into energy, the planet's intelligent Lamorn civilization would run out of energy in just a few thousand years as its civilization developed, and the ecosystem would also decline.
